What is Twitter?“Twitter is a social network and real-time communication service launched in 2006 and used by millions of people and organizations to quickly share and discover information” (socialmediatoday, 2013).
Twitter allows people to interact with others, using 140 characters or less. You can use #hashtags “to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.” (Twitter Help Center, 2013). It allows users to follow other members, businesses, teams, celebrities, etc. It lets users share comments, news articles, videos, images, basically anything a person might be interested in sharing with others.
